John Whitlock runs Points Beyond, which builds voice agents and automation for small and medium-sized businesses. He's also the author of Claude Code, Solo.
Why VoiceCost exists
Voice AI pricing is hard to compare. Vendors use different units (per minute, per hour, per character, per credit), and a platform's headline per-minute fee often leaves out speech-to-text, the LLM, text-to-speech and the phone line. Many comparison posts copy a headline price once and never update it. VoiceCost rechecks each vendor's official pricing page every day, keeps a dated history and a changes log, and helps you add up what a call really costs. Daily tracking started on Oct 20, 2026.
How prices are collected
A scheduled job reads each tracked vendor's public pricing page, saves a dated copy, and extracts the listed prices. If a price can't be read, it shows as Unknown; nothing is filled in by hand. Details are on the methodology page.
